According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on April 20, Tuyen Quang reservoir had an upstream water level of 111.75 m, 8.25 m lower than the normal water level; water flow to the reservoir 132 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 126.64 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake reached 290.16 m, 4.84 m lower than the normal water level; Son La Lake reached 208.1 m, 6.9 m lower.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake maintains a water level of 369.79 m, close to the normal water level, while Ban Chat Lake is at 431.78 m, near the dead water level.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir continues to generate electricity with a total discharge volume of 409 m3/s, and a water inflow to the reservoir of 88 m3/s.
Thac Ba Lake also discharged through the plant 286.03 m3/s when the water flow to the lake reached 82 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 20, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and western Nghe An will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms are likely to occur with tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions are sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places.
