Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on August 24th

Many hydropower reservoirs across the country on the morning of August 24th were lower than the normal water level, and some reservoirs had high inflows and discharges.

According to updated data at 7:00 AM on August 24, in the North, Tuyen Quang Lake has an upstream water level of 104.87m, water inflow to the lake of 730m3/s and no discharge. Lai Chau Lake reached 292.5m, water inflow of 1,424m3/s, total discharge volume of 1,527m3/s.

Son La Lake has a water level of 199.92m, 15.08m lower than the normal water level of 215m. Inflow to the lake reached 2,788m3/s, no total discharge volume recorded.

Hoa Binh Lake reached 102.66m, 14.34m lower than the normal water level of 117m. Inflow to the lake 2,576m3/s, total discharge 570m3/s.

At Thac Ba Lake, the water level is at 54.27m, inflow to the lake is 324m3/s, total discharge is 465.68m3/s.

Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 65m, equal to the normal water level; inflow and total discharge both reach 535m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 150.45m, flow rate of 2,022m3/s, total discharge rate of 1,432m3/s. Ban Ve Lake reached 189.75m, flow rate of 332m3/s, total discharge rate of 340m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, most reservoirs have water levels lower than normal water levels. A Vuong Lake reached 345.98m, lower than 34.02m; Song Bung 2 reached 576.72m, lower than 28.28m; Song Tranh 2 reached 144.96m, lower than 30.04m compared to normal water levels.

The Central Highlands region recorded quite large water inflows at some lakes. Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 557.72m, inflow rate of 433m3/s, total discharge rate of 246m3/s.

Ialy Lake reached 505.26m, inflow 415m3/s, total discharge 246m3/s. Se San 3 Lake has a water level of 303.44m, inflow 290m3/s and total discharge 224m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 55.16m, 6.84m lower than the normal water level of 62m. Inflow to the lake reached 890m3/s, total discharge 251m3/s. Thac Mo Lake has a water level of 206.8m, inflow to 185.99m3/s.
