According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 15, hydrological developments in large river basins are generally stable, mainly affected by reservoir regulation and tides.
In the Red River basin, on the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station reached 25.24m, Phu Tho station 12.49m and continued to decrease slowly. On the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station was 14.96m, Vu Quang station 7.66m, continuing to change slowly and affected by the regulation of hydropower reservoirs.
For the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower plants. According to monitoring data at 7:00 AM on July 15, the flow to the reservoir reached about 3,908m3/s and is forecast to fluctuate in the range of 3,800-4,000m3/s in the next 36 hours.
In the Thai Binh river basin, the water level on the Cau, Thuong, Luc Nam and Thai Binh rivers mainly changes slowly. Specifically, the water level at Dap Cau station reaches 2.10m, Phu Lang Thuong 1.90m, Luc Nam 1.40m and Pha Lai 1.50m. In the next 36 hours, the water level at Pha Lai is forecast to be highest at about 2.40m and lowest at about 1.60m.
In the North Central region, water levels on the Ma, Ca, La, Gianh and Huong rivers change slowly. Water levels at Giang station on the Ma River are at -0.29m; Linh Cam station on the La River -1.22m; Mai Hoa station on the Gianh River -0.97m and Kim Long station on the Huong River reach 0.48m. The midstream of rivers continues to be affected by reservoir regulation, the downstream fluctuates according to tides.
In the South Central region, water levels on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon, Tra Khuc, Kon rivers and downstream of the Ba River continue to fluctuate due to reservoir regulation and the influence of tides. Water levels at Cau Lau station on the Thu Bon River are at -0.67m, Tra Khuc station 0.86m and Phu Lam station on the Da Rang River -1.32m.
In the Southeast region, the water level of the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai station reached 110.90m, and the Be River at Phuoc Hoa station reached 20.11m and continued to fluctuate according to the operating regime of upstream reservoirs. In the Central Highlands, the water level on the Dak Bla and Krong Ana rivers also fluctuated according to the regulation of hydropower reservoirs.
Notably, in the Mekong River basin, the water level at the headwaters is rising rapidly. The highest water level on July 14th on the Tien River at Tan Chau station reached 1.85m, on the Hau River at Chau Doc station reached 1.94m. It is forecasted that by July 19th, the highest water level of the day at both stations will reach about 2.05m before changing slowly.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 15, the Northern region will be hot with the highest temperature above 36 degrees Celsius.
The North Central region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature around 32 - 35 degrees Celsius.
