According to reservoir operation data, at 9:00 AM on July 15, at Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir, the upstream water level reached 104m, 13m lower than the normal water level (117m). The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,948m3/s, while the total discharge flow reached 4,452m3/s, including 1,548m3/s through the spillway and 2,904m3/s through the plant. The reservoir currently maintains 1 deep discharge gate.
Son La hydropower reservoir has a water level of 196.34m, 18.66m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 2,983m3/s, total discharge flow 3,261m3/s, all through the plant.
Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 281.88m, 13.12m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 1,498m3/s, total discharge volume 1,655m3/s.
At Ban Chat reservoir, the water level reached 460.34m, 14.66m lower than the normal water level. Notably, the water flow to the reservoir was 331m3/s higher than the total discharge flow of 173m3/s.
Meanwhile, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 368.64m, only 1.36m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 287m3/s, total discharge volume 338m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 104.21m, 15.79m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 451m3/s, total discharge volume 739.13m3/s.
Thac Ba Lake recorded a water level of 52.05m, 5.95m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 270m3/s, total discharge volume 299.67m3/s, all through the plant.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 15, the Northern region will be hot with the highest temperature above 36 degrees Celsius.
The North Central region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature around 32 - 35 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy to very heavy rain.
