Many hydropower reservoirs across the country are still lower than the normal water level, Hoa Binh Hydropower maintains operation of 1 bottom discharge gate with a total discharge flow of 4,452m3/s.

According to reservoir operation data, at 9:00 AM on July 15, in the Northwest area, Hoa Binh reservoir had an upstream water level of 104m, 13m lower than the normal water level (117m). Water inflow to the reservoir reached 3,948m3/s, total discharge flow of 4,452m3/s, of which 1,548m3/s through the spillway, 2,904m3/s through the plant, maintaining 1 deep discharge gate.

Son La Lake has a water level of 196.34m, 18.66m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the lake reached 2,983m3/s, total discharge flow of 3,261m3/s. Lai Chau Lake reached 281.88m, 13.12m lower; Ban Chat Lake reached 460.34m, 14.66m lower; Huoi Quang Lake was at 368.64m, only 1.36m lower than the normal water level.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 104.21m, 15.79m lower than the normal water level. Thac Ba Lake reached 52.05m, 5.95m lower.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 151.8m, 8.2m lower, currently discharging 86m3/s through the spillway and 475m3/s through the plant, opening 1 surface discharge gate. Ban Ve Lake reached 173.06m, 26.94m lower, while Khe Bo Lake reached 64.07m, 0.93m lower. Quang Tri Lake has a water level of 461.01m, 18.99m lower.

In the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, many lakes continue to maintain water levels below normal water levels. Ialy Lake reached 496.15m, 18.85m lower; Pleikrông reached 548.41m, 21.59m lower; Sông Tranh 2 reached 153.45m, 21.55m lower; A Vương reached 354.37m, 25.63m lower.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 51.58m, 10.42m lower than the normal water level, water inflow to the reservoir reaches 370m3/s, total discharge flow is 554m3/s.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 15, the Northern region will be hot with the highest temperature above 36 degrees Celsius.

The North Central region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature around 32 - 35 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. Rain concentrates in the afternoon and night.
