Water levels of rivers in the Red River basin on August 19th

On rivers in the Red River basin, the water level of the Thao River and downstream of the Red River in Hanoi is rising slowly.

The short-term Hydrometeorological Forecast and Warning bulletin issued at 10:30 am on August 19 by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said:

With the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station (Lao Cai province), Phu Tho station is rising slowly, forecast to change slowly.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 AM on August 19 was at 26.46m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 13.25m.

For the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho) is and will continue to change slowly and is mainly affected by the regulation of hydropower on the upper line.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 AM on August 19 was at 15.26m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 7.70m.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate according to the above-level hydropower regulation.

At 7:00 AM on August 19, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 39.13m.

It is forecasted that the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir may increase according to the regulation of the upper-level hydropower plant and the impact of rain in the basin.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi Hydrological Station is changing slowly with an upward trend due to Hoa Binh Lake opening 1 bottom discharge gate at 4:00 PM on August 16.

At 7:00 AM on August 19, the water level at Hanoi station was at 3.05m.

It is forecasted that the water level of the Red River at Hanoi station will continue to rise in the next 12 hours after slow changes and fluctuations according to the tidal regime.
