According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:15 am on February 15, at Lai Chau Hydropower Plant, the upstream water level was at an elevation of 293.59 m, 1.41 m lower than the normal water level; water flow to the reservoir was 123 m3/s, and the total discharge through the generating unit was 119 m3/s.
Ban Chat Hydropower Lake has a water level of 458.95 m, 16.05 m lower than the normal water level; water flow to the lake is 11 m3/s, total discharge through the generating unit is 272 m3/s.
At Huoi Quang Hydropower Plant, the water level reached 369.88 m, 0.12 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 298 m3/s, total discharge through the turbine unit 293 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Son La Hydropower Plant recorded a water level of 214.57 m, lower than the normal water level by 0.43 m; water flow to the reservoir 403 m3/s, total discharge through the generating unit 959 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, water level at an elevation of 112.27 m, lower than normal water level by 4.73 m; water flow to the reservoir is large, reaching 923 m3/s; total discharge through the generating unit is 366 m3/s.
As for the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant, the upstream water level reached 113.98 m, 6.02 m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the reservoir was 99 m3/s, not yet discharged.
For Thac Ba Hydropower Plant, the reservoir water level reached 54.92 m, lower than the normal water level by 3.08 m; total discharge flow through the generating unit was 145.92 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 15th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and early morning, cold in mountainous areas.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
