According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:30 am on February 21, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded an upstream water level at an elevation of 114.58 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake is about 50 m3/s, currently no discharge has been carried out.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau reservoir reached 294.95 m, approaching the normal water level of 295 m, water inflow to the reservoir 108 m3/s, not yet discharged.
Some lakes are operating for power generation with significant flow. Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 456.17 m, 475 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 12 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 266 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake is at 369.87 m, close to the normal water level of 370 m, flow rate of 268 m3/s, discharge through the plant 263 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached 214.58 m, lower than the normal water level by 215 m; water flow to the lake 365 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 355 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake is at 112.85 m, lower than the normal water level by 117 m; water flow to the lake is large, about 1,467 m3/s, total discharge through the plant is 361 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 21st, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and in the morning.
