According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 13:00 on March 5, at Tuyen Quang Lake, the upstream water level recorded at 114.48m, about 5.5m lower than the normal water level (120m).
The water flow to the reservoir reached 62 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was at 246.23 m3/s, all through the power plant.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 294.87m, nearly reaching the normal water level of 295m. The water flow to the lake reaches 576 m3/s and the total discharge is 474 m3/s, mainly through the plant.
Ban Chat Lake recorded a water level of 449.38m, significantly lower than the normal water level of 475m. The water flow to the lake reached 10 m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant was at 269 m3/s.
At Huoi Quang reservoir, the water level reached 369.31m, nearly reaching the normal water level of 370m. The water flow to the reservoir was at 281 m3/s and the total discharge through the plant reached 264 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Son La Lake has an upstream water level of 214.76m, close to the normal water level of 215m. The inflow of water into the lake and total discharge are both at 921 m3/s.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir is currently at an altitude of 113.33m, about 3.7m lower than the normal water level of 117m. The water flow to the reservoir reaches 1,480 m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant is 363 m3/s. Currently, the plant does not operate deep or surface discharge gates.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 5th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog in some places. Cold at night and morning with the lowest temperature around 15 - 19 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon tomorrow.
