Hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region are all lower than the normal water level, in which Hoa Binh reservoir continues to maintain a discharge flow of over 4,400m3/s.

According to reservoir operation data, at 1:00 PM on July 11, Hoa Binh reservoir had an upstream water level of 104.57m, 12.43m lower than the normal water level of 117m.

The water flow to the reservoir reached 4,938m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 4,422m3/s. Of which, the discharge flow through the spillway reached 1,561m3/s, through the plant reached 2,861m3/s. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.

Upstream of the Da River, Son La Lake recorded a water level of 196.4m, 18.6m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 4,378m3/s, total discharge flow 3,267m3/s, all through the plant.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 284.59m, 10.41m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 1,785m3/s, total discharge flow reached 1,628m3/s.

Both Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs continue to operate power generation, without discharging through spillways. Specifically, Ban Chat reservoir has a water level of 459.73m, water inflow to the reservoir reaches 391m3/s and total discharge flow 212m3/s. Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 369.75m, only 0.25m lower than the normal water level, water inflow to the reservoir reaches 342m3/s and total discharge flow 336m3/s.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 106.45m, 13.55m lower than the normal water level. The reservoir is discharging a total of 1,229.66m3/s, including 499m3/s through the spillway and 730.66m3/s through the plant, maintaining 1 deep discharge gate.

Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir has a water level of 52.02m, nearly 6m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 410m3/s and has not been discharged.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 11, the Northern region will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. Rain concentrates in the late afternoon, night and early morning. Daytime with intermittent sunshine.

The North Central region will be sunny during the day, from tomorrow afternoon there will be showers and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy to very heavy rain.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
