According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:00 AM on March 19, in the Northwest area, Lai Chau Lake reached 294.23m, only 0.77m lower than the normal water level (295m), currently no discharge flow has occurred.
Son La Lake is at 214.31m, 0.69m lower than the design threshold, and is generating electricity with a large discharge flow of 957 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached an altitude of 115.18m, discharging 488 m3/s through the plant, continuing to ensure the main regulating role for downstream.
Meanwhile, Huoi Quang reservoir reached 366.1m, close to the normal water level (370m), and is discharging 132 m3/s through the plant.
Both Ban Chat and Thac Ba reservoirs also maintain stable operation. Ban Chat reservoir recorded a water level of 440.42m, discharging 246 m3/s; Thac Ba reservoir at 54.76m, discharging more than 460 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 114.78m, currently generating electricity with a discharge flow of 121.28 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 19th, the Northern region will have light rain in some places at night, early morning fog and light fog scattered; sunny skies with reduced clouds in the afternoon.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places at night; sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sunny places.
