According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:30 am on May 20, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level at an elevation of 108.42 m, lower than the normal water level by 120 m; water inflow to the lake was 354 m3/s, total discharge volume was 681.22 m3/s through the plant.
At the Da River cascade, Lai Chau Lake reached a water level of 290.06 m, with a flow rate of 519 m3/s, and has not yet been discharged.
Ban Chat Lake is at an altitude of 439 m, with a flow rate of 105 m3/s, not yet discharged. Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.12 m, with a flow rate of 17 m3/s, not yet recorded discharge.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 200.89 m, flow rate of 554 m3/s, total discharge through the plant of 3,054 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 104.66 m, water inflow to the lake increased sharply by 3,615 m3/s, total discharge volume 2,843 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 51.4 m, a flow rate of 252 m3/s, and a total discharge rate of 294.4 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 20, in the Southeast region, Tri An Lake recorded a flow to the lake of 370 m3/s, with a total discharge through the plant of 116 m3/s.
The Northeast region, Phu Tho South, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have showers and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and night, with locally heavy to very heavy rain.
