According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on May 19, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached a water level of 155.3m, inflow to the lake 148 m3/s and discharged 81 m3/s. Khe Bo Lake discharged 95.5 m3/s.
The water level of Ban Ve hydropower reservoir reached 182.29m, significantly lower than the normal water level of 200m. The water flow to the reservoir is at 57 m3/s and currently no discharge for electricity generation has been implemented.
The South Central Coast region recorded some reservoirs operating at an average level. Ba Ha River discharges 120 m3/s; Bung 4 River discharges 49 m3/s; A Vuong and Hinh River discharge at a low level; many reservoirs such as Song Bung 2, Vinh Son B, Vinh Son C, Song Tranh 2 continue to store water.
In the Central Highlands, the reservoirs on the Se San river system continue to discharge electricity with significant flow. Se San 3 discharges 430 m3/s; Se San 3A discharges 342 m3/s; Ialy discharges 162 m3/s; Se San 4 discharges 50 m3/s.
Some other reservoirs discharge small amounts such as Srepok 3, Buon Kuop and Thuong Kon Tum. Many reservoirs in the Dong Nai system still mainly accumulate water or discharge low.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 19, the Northeast region tonight and tomorrow will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. From tomorrow night May 19, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
