According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on May 19, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached a water level of 108.75m, with a water inflow to the lake of 253 m3/s. The lake is discharging 674.6 m3/s through the plant to generate electricity.
In the Northwest, the reservoir system on the Da River continues to operate with high flow. Son La Lake reached 201.88m, inflow to the reservoir 790 m3/s and is discharging 3,012 m3/s through the plant.
Hoa Binh Lake is at 104.39m, the inflow is very high, reaching 2,910 m3/s; total discharge volume is 2,903 m3/s.
Lai Chau Lake reaches a water level of 289.3m, flow to the lake is 239 m³/s and discharge is 325 m³/s. Meanwhile, Ban Chat (438.61m) and Huoi Quang (368.89m) lakes continue to store water but have not yet discharged.
Thac Ba Lake reached a water level of 51.36m, a water inflow of 138 m3/s and has not been discharged for power generation.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 19, the Northeast region tonight and tomorrow will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. From tomorrow night May 19, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
