According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 AM on March 23, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded an upstream water level of 115.01m, lower than the normal water level by 120m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 100 m3/s, currently no discharge has been carried out.
In the Northwest region, many large hydropower reservoirs maintain high water levels. Lai Chau Lake reached 294.05m, close to the normal water level (295m), water inflow to the reservoir 109 m3/s, not yet discharged for regulation.
Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 437.83m, significantly lower than the normal water level (475m), currently discharging through the plant with a flow rate of 246 m3/s.
Similarly, Huoi Quang reservoir reached 368.79m, approaching the normal water level (370m), with a total discharge flow of 198 m3/s.
Two large lakes on the Da River, Son La and Hoa Binh, continue to maintain high water levels.
Son La Lake is at 213.98m, close to the normal water level of 215m, with a total discharge flow of up to 738 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 115.92m, lower than the normal water level by 117m, with a total discharge volume of 365 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir has a water level of 54.33m, still about 4m away from the normal water level (58m), the total discharge flow reaches 465.48 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 23rd, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early tomorrow morning there will be fog in some places, sunny skies in the afternoon; especially the mountainous area tonight will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sunny places.
