Large hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region are operating stably, lower than normal water levels, ensuring power generation and water source regulation requirements.

According to updated data at 11:00 AM on August 2nd, at Hoa Binh Lake, the upstream water level reached 100.79 m, 16.21 m lower than the normal water level.

The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,851 m3/s, the highest among hydropower reservoirs in the North. The total discharge flow reached 2,864 m3/s, all through the plant, without discharging through spillways and without opening deep discharge gates.

Meanwhile, Son La Lake has a water level of 197.74 m, water inflow to the lake 2,436 m3/s, total discharge volume 3,269 m3/s through the plant. Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 288.77 m, water inflow to 1,412 m3/s, total discharge volume 963 m3/s.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 106.56 m, water inflow to the reservoir is 1,065 m3/s. The reservoir is discharging 1,228.01 m3/s, of which 499 m3/s is through the spillway and 729.01 m3/s through the plant, while maintaining 1 deep discharge gate open.

For the reservoirs updated according to the latest data on July 31, Ban Chat reservoir reached a water level of 470.74 m, water inflow of 222 m3/s, total discharge of 242 m3/s. Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 368.7 m, water inflow of 313 m3/s, total discharge of 342 m3/s.

At the same time, Thac Ba Lake reached a water level of 52.79 m, a water inflow of 440 m3/s and has not yet discharged water.
