On the Red River basin rivers, the water levels of the Thao and Lo rivers are both trending downwards.

Short-term hydrographic forecast and warning bulletin on August 1st of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said:

With the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station and Phu Tho station is decreasing.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 am on August 1st was at 26.96m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 13.46m.

It is forecasted that the water level of the Thao River at Yen Bai station will change slowly, and Phu Tho station will continue to decrease.

With the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho) is slowly decreasing.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 a.m. on August 1 was at 16.79m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 10.08m.

It is forecasted that the water level downstream of the Lo River at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station will continue to decrease and be affected by the upstream hydropower regulation.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate according to the above-level hydropower regulation.

At 7:00 AM on August 1st, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 39.41m.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi hydrological station is decreasing (Hoa Binh Lake closed the bottom discharge gate at 4:00 PM on July 31st, Tuyen Quang Lake still maintained 1 opening).

At 7:00 AM on August 1st, the water level at Hanoi station was at 4.98m.

It is forecasted that the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station will continue to decrease.
