Most hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands are lower than the normal water level, and power plants maintain operation and generate electricity to serve load demand.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 AM on June 14, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had an upstream water level of 157.01m, 2.99m lower than the normal water level.

Ban Ve Lake reached 175.26m, 24.74m lower; Khe Bo Lake was at 64.13m, 0.87m lower. Quang Tri Lake reached 464.73m, 15.27m lower than the design threshold.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong Lake reached 360.67m, 19.33m lower than the normal water level. Song Bung 2 Lake is at 586.4m, 18.6m lower; Song Bung 4 Lake reached 213.03m, 9.47m lower.

Reservoirs in the Vinh Son system continue to maintain water levels 6-8m lower than the design threshold. Specifically, Vinh Son A reached 768.71m, Vinh Son B reached 814.3m and Vinh Son C reached 972.62m.

Song Tranh 2 reservoir is currently at 158.44m, 16.56m lower; Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 102.75m, 2.25m lower; Song Hinh reservoir reached 204.07m, 4.93m lower than the normal water level.

In the Central Highlands, some reservoirs are approaching the normal water level, such as Se San 3 reaching 303.3m/304.5m, Se San 3A reaching 238.54m/239m, Srepok 3 reaching 271.49m/272m, Dong Nai 4 reaching 475.54m/476m and Da Mi reaching 324.09m/325m.

Meanwhile, many lakes are still significantly lower than the design threshold such as Thuong Kon Tum (1143.95m/1160m), Pleikrông (547.71m/570m), Ialy (496.08m/515m), Buon Tua Srah (472.26m/487.5m), Dong Nai 3 (572.05m/590m) and Ham Thuan (583.2m/605m).

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 14, the Northern region will be hot and sunny, with intense heat in some places. From tomorrow evening, the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain, especially the delta area will have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest daily temperature commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 38 degrees Celsius.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
