According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:30 pm on May 17, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached a water level of 154.63m, the inflow and total discharge volume were both at 82m3/s.
Khe Bo Lake recorded a water level of 64.44m, water flowing to the lake 4.6m3/s; total discharge and power generation volume 171m3/s. Ban Ve Lake reached a water level of 182.4m and has not been discharged, while Quang Tri Lake is at 469.4m.
The South Central Coast region recorded many stable operating reservoirs. A Vuong Lake has a water level of 366.88m, water receding at 42.02m3/s. Song Bung 2 Lake reached 594.6m; Song Tranh 2 Lake reached 167.06m, water receding at 56.82m3/s. Song Ba Ha Lake discharged electricity at 120m3/s, Song Hinh Lake discharged at 19.03m3/s.
Vinh Son A, B, C reservoirs maintain high water levels but have not discharged significantly.
In the Central Highlands, the reservoir chain on the Se San - Serepok river system maintains normal operation. Se San 4 reservoir discharges 48m3/s of electricity; Buon Kuop reservoir discharges 15.71m3/s; An Khe reservoir discharges 8m3/s through spillway.
Many other lakes such as Thuong Kon Tum, Pleikrong, Ialy, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4, Dai Ninh, Don Duong, Ham Thuan and Da Mi have not yet released water.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 17, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. The temperature will decrease with the highest temperature around 29 - 32 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region tonight and tomorrow afternoon will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
