The water level of hydropower reservoirs in the North Central Coast, South Central Coast and Central Highlands updated at 2:00 PM on July 7 shows that most reservoirs are still lower than the normal water level and do not discharge through spillways.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has an upstream water level of 159.31m, 0.69m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 454m3/s, total discharge flow 420m3/s, all through the plant. Ban Ve Lake has a water level of 170.51m, inflow to the lake 84m3/s and has not yet discharged water.
Khe Bo Lake recorded a water level of 64.74m, close to the normal water level of 65m; inflow to the lake reached 98.6m3/s, total discharge through the plant 217.7m3/s. Quang Tri Lake has a water level of 460.1m, inflow to the lake and discharge both at 18m3/s.
In the South Central Coast, A Vuong Lake reached a water level of 356.22m, nearly 24m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 13.07m3/s, discharge through the plant 30.6m3/s. Song Bung 4 Lake has a water level of 210.53m, inflow to the lake 12.94m3/s and discharge 49m3/s through the plant. Song Tranh 2 Lake reached 155.3m, Song Ba Ha Lake reached 102.49m, both have not yet discharged water.
Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B, Vinh Son C and Song Bung 2 reservoirs also maintained water levels below normal water levels, no overflow discharge was recorded.
In the Central Highlands, Thuong Kon Tum reservoir has a water level of 1,144.14m, inflow to the reservoir 11.43m3/s and discharge through the plant 13.36m3/s.
Ialy Lake reached a water level of 492.34m, inflow to the lake 88m3/s, total discharge through the plant 214m3/s. Se San 4 Lake discharged through the plant 340m3/s, while Srepok 3 discharged 271m3/s and Buon Kuop discharged 15.26m3/s through the spillway.
Notably, An Khe reservoir is the only project in this update to record discharge through the spillway with a flow rate of 4m3/s and open 1 deep discharge gate. Meanwhile, Dong Nai 4, Da Mi, Ham Thuan, Dai Ninh and Don Duong reservoirs continue to operate power generation with discharge through the plant at a level of 12.7-45.21m3/s, no spillway discharge recorded.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 7, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny days. Rain concentrates in the late afternoon and night.
