Hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region on July 7 continued to maintain below the normal water level, many reservoirs had large inflows.

According to updated data at 11:30 am on July 7 from the reservoir operation monitoring system, the water level of hydropower reservoirs in the Northeast and Northwest regions is basically stable, lower than the normal water level.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 108.03 m, 11.97 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 730 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,225.19 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway 516 m3/s and through the plant 709.19 m3/s, maintaining 1 deep discharge gate.

Thac Ba Lake has an upstream water level of 51.51 m, 6.49 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 390 m3/s, total discharge volume 447.97 m3/s, all through the plant.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has an upstream water level of 284.29 m, lower than the normal water level by 10.71 m. The inflow to the lake reached 1,278 m3/s, and the total discharge through the plant was 1,592 m3/s.

Ban Chat Lake recorded an upstream water level of 456.45 m, lower than the normal water level by 18.55 m. The water flow to the lake reached 400 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 187 m3/s.

Huo Huoi Quang Lake has an upstream water level of 368.92 m, only 1.08 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reaches 246 m3/s, total discharge through the plant is 286 m3/s.

Son La Lake has an upstream water level of 194.6 m, 20.4 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 3,928 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 3,203 m3/s.

Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 102.79 m, 14.21 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 3,662 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 2,905 m3/s, without operating discharge through the spillway dam.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 7, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny days. Rain concentrates in the late afternoon and night.
