The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Digital Directive on promoting the development of digital infrastructure in Thai Nguyen province. Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, supporting telecommunications enterprises in the area to invest in 5G deployment, developing 5G applications to serve economic and social sectors and fields.
The Directive also specifically stipulates the responsibilities of agencies and units in implementing digital infrastructure development. Strengthen management, inspection, and guidance for agencies and units to implement the contents of information and communication infrastructure development according to the approved planning of Thai Nguyen province.
Relevant departments and branches coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to guide relevant agencies and units to create conditions for telecommunications enterprises to build common telecommunications technical infrastructure and technical infrastructure.
Telecommunications and cable television enterprises focus on expanding coverage and quality of 5G mobile network services in key areas such as public administration areas; historical - cultural relic sites, scenic spots, key tourist areas; medical facilities; colleges, universities; traffic units;
Thai Nguyen is currently in the top 10 provinces in the country leading in digital infrastructure. In the Digital Transformation Project of Thai Nguyen province, for the period 2024-2025, the province also set many goals for digital infrastructure such as 5G network with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps, coverage at 100% of universities and hospitals in 2024; 100% of residential areas covered by 5G in 2025; 100% of expressways and national highways covered by 4G/5G mobile broadband.
