On May 11, functional agencies in Ho Chi Minh City are verifying and clarifying a clip circulating online about a male worker at a wood company being cut off 4 fingers by a machine.
According to verification, the incident occurred at F.K Vietnam Interior Co., Ltd. (in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The male worker who suffered the labor accident was identified as T.C. V (born in 1999, from Ca Mau).
Initial information, on the afternoon of May 9, Mr. T.C. V was working at a wood cutting machine. When Mr. V was putting wood into the machine, he was suddenly cut off 4 fingers by the machine. Immediately after that, colleagues took Mr. V to the hospital for emergency treatment. The victim was transferred to a higher-level hospital to reconnect his fingers.

Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority said that the hospital has reattached the fingers to the male worker. Mr. V is continuing to monitor and treat. Representatives of the company where the accident occurred will bear all treatment costs until the male worker recovers.
It is known that Mr. V just started working at the above company from April 16.
