On the evening of November 3, the People's Committee of Nam Trach commune (Quang Tri province) said that it was deploying forces to search for missing students.
The victim was N.D.H (16 years old), an 11th grade student at Le Quy Don High School, residing in Tay Thanh village. On the evening of November 1, H left home at around 7:30 p.m. but did not return afterwards. The family searched all night but had no results and reported to the local authorities.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Nam Trach commune government coordinated with the police, militia and people to search along the Dinh River.
The leader of Nam Trach commune said that rescue forces were still on duty all night, expanding the search area along river branches, overflow areas and drainage culverts.
