Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that in the period from 7:30 am on July 8 to 7:30 am on July 9, 2026, the artificial intelligence (AI) application monitoring system and feedback receiving channels of the unit continued to promote efficiency in ensuring traffic order and safety.
According to statistics, the AI camera system on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway (Km20) recorded 9,706 vehicle trips. AI cameras warned 18 suspected violations, but after the censorship process, no actual violations were detected.
Regarding the speed measuring system, functional forces have inspected 4 cases, thereby determining 2 speeding vehicles. The remaining two vehicles are vehicles of the Police force on duty.
At intersections in Hanoi, the AI camera system continues to support the detection of many violations. Accordingly, at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection, AI cameras recorded 66 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets, 60 cases of running red lights and 2 cases of going against traffic.
Meanwhile, at the Le Van Luong - Nguyen Tuan intersection, the AI camera system censored 29 cases suspected of going in the wrong lane but did not detect violations after comparison and inspection.
According to the Traffic Police Department, this result shows that the combination of AI cameras and functional forces' censorship work helps ensure accuracy before handling.
Along with the automatic monitoring system, people continue to accompany the traffic police force in detecting traffic violations.
During the above period, the Traffic Police Department received 12 reflected messages via Facebook and has transferred them all to functional units for verification according to their authority. Via Zalo, the unit received 14 messages, of which 10 messages are sufficiently grounded to be transferred for verification and handling.
Notably, the VNeTraffic application received 64 feedback messages, all of which were transferred to functional units for verification and handling according to regulations. The acts that people reflected mainly included driving in the wrong lane, stopping and parking in violation of regulations, changing lanes in violation of regulations, running red lights, going against traffic, going into emergency lanes, using phones while driving, not wearing helmets and carrying overload.
According to the Traffic Police Department, to date, the VNeTraffic application has 9,139,110 registered accounts.
The Traffic Police Department encourages people to continue to use the official VNeTraffic, Zalo and Facebook applications of the unit to reflect violations of traffic order and safety. All information is received, objectively verified and strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
