On the evening of November 8, Ho Chi Minh City Police conducted an investigation of the scene and investigated the incident in which a young man about 20 years old suddenly convulsed on a flooded sidewalk on De Tham Street (Cau Ong Lanh Ward), suspected to have been electrocuted.
At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, due to the impact of heavy rain, a section of De Tham Street was flooded. A young man was walking on the sidewalk of De Tham Street when he suddenly fell onto the road and showed signs of convulsions.

People nearby discovered the incident but did not dare to approach and provide immediate relief. The reason was that there was an electrical cabinet next to the victim, causing many people to suspect that the victim had a leaked wrench.
According to the witness, a security guard at a nearby convenience store promptly ran to pull the victim out of the flooded area, took him to a safe place and performed first aid. The victim was then quickly transferred to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Upon receiving the report, Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police and electricity staff were present at the scene. The authorities have cut off power in the area to ensure safety and investigate the incident.
Currently, the authorities are verifying the specific cause of the accident. There is currently no official confirmation about the victim being electrocuted due to an electrical leak from the cabinet or other cause.
