On December 30, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province worked on the progress of the pre-feasibility study report of the Cat Lai Ferry Bridge Construction Investment Project (Cat Lai Bridge Project) under the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract.
According to the consulting unit, the Cat Lai Bridge project has its starting point on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, about 400m from My Thuy intersection, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
The end point of the project connects to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway in Nhon Trach district.
The total length of the research route is more than 11.3 km, with a cross-sectional scale of 6 motor vehicle lanes and 2 non-motor vehicle lanes.
Regarding the route leading to Cat Lai bridge in Nhon Trach district, there is an overlap between a number of projects and national historical sites with the road construction boundary.
In particular, in the case of overlapping planning between the route and Tan Phu Huu Residential Area, Ecological Residential Area and Sen Viet Garden House, the consulting unit proposed a plan to locally adjust the planning.
Regarding the overlapping area between the route and the Giong San relic protection area, the consulting unit proposed plans to build an elevated overpass, build an underpass and adjust the route through this area.
The recommended option is the adjusted route to the west of the planned route, basically following the direction of the planned route.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang agreed with the route adjustment plan proposed by the consulting unit.
At the same time, the consulting unit is requested to coordinate with the Department of Construction and Nhon Trach district to continue surveying to complete the plan to adjust the route.
