"I have also participated in many meetings in the commune, been trained by superiors, and equipped with knowledge, so I propagate it to the people. There are poor households that are eligible for loans to develop the economy but do not know how to do the procedures, then I will guide and help people", Ms. Ha said.
Ms. Quan Thi Ha's way of doing things is based on the knowledge and skills she has learned, she propagates and disseminates to the people, even using the hand-held method. Ms. Ha's family also developed the economy effectively for people to follow.
Thanks to efforts and scientific methods, all 5 poor households under the supervision of Ms. Ha have a more prosperous and stable life and are recognized as eligible to escape poverty.
Mr. Quan Van Dang, Tong Lung village, Tan My commune, thanks to Ms. Ha's help with breeding techniques and pig farming, his family's pig farming has become more productive. Every year, Mr. Dang's family sells 2 pairs of pigs, with a stable income, no longer in poverty.
"Thanks to the village chief and commune officials regularly visiting, promptly instructing on animal husbandry techniques, and supporting loans, I am also assured of doing business. Now life is better, the family is happy to have escaped poverty," Mr. Dang shared.
Currently, 100% of cadres at all levels working on poverty reduction, especially grassroots cadres, have improved their capacity, equipped with knowledge, and effectively implemented the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction to ensure the right subjects and goals.
The Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province coordinate with relevant units to develop documents and train, coach, and foster knowledge, skills, and expertise for the team of officials working on poverty reduction.
At the same time, improve knowledge, skills, and expertise for cadres working in legal aid, social work, and gender equality to effectively support the poor, vulnerable groups, and those in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Tuyen Quang province, said that the unit has chaired many competitions for excellent propagandists on poverty reduction. Implement policy dialogue conferences on poverty reduction, thereby improving the capacity of the staff working on poverty reduction.
"Improving the professional capacity of the poverty reduction team needs to focus on innovating content and methods so that grassroots cadres clearly understand each policy and goal of the program, thereby effectively implementing it. This is also one of the important tasks of sustainable poverty reduction," Mr. Hung shared.
Recently, the work of sustainable poverty reduction in Tuyen Quang province has achieved many positive results. In the period of 2021 - 2024, according to the poverty standard, the poverty rate will decrease from 23.45% to 10.19%, down 13.26% compared to the beginning of the period, an average decrease of 4.42%/year, exceeding the set plan.
