On April 26, Dong Nai Power Company and related units completed the installation of the 3rd transformer (capacity 63 MVA) - An Phuoc 110 kV substation, increasing the total substation capacity from 126 MVA to 189 MVA, helping to improve the power supply capacity for key industrial parks near Long Thanh airport such as: An Phuoc Industrial Park and neighboring industrial parks such as Long Duc, Tam Phuoc, Long Thanh.
An Phuoc 110 kV substation is one of the important power projects serving the industrialization process in the Long Thanh area, which was invested in construction and put into operation in January 2015, including 1 transformer with a capacity of 63 MVA.
In October 2015, Dong Nai Power Company continued to invest in installing a second transformer (capacity 63 MVA) to increase the substation capacity to 126 MVA, meeting the demand for load growth in the Long Thanh - Nhon Trach area.
However, in the face of the strong development speed of industrial parks, especially in the context of the Long Thanh airport project and a series of key transport infrastructure projects being implemented, electricity demand continues to increase rapidly, posing the requirement to continue to increase station capacity by installing a 3rd transformer, creating room for development for industrial, logistics, service and urban projects in the future in Long Thanh and surrounding areas.
The project is invested by Dong Nai Power Company, with a total investment of 39.85 billion VND, installing a new 3rd transformer with a capacity of 63 MVA and a series of synchronous equipment such as cutters, isolation knives, power transformers, anti-lightning valves, medium voltage cabinet systems, condenser and connection cable systems.
