Due to the influence of a low pressure trough with an axis of about 24 - 27 degrees North latitude connected to the hot low pressure area in the West, on June 25, Thanh Hoa area will continue to have hot and intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C; the relative lowest humidity is from 45 - 50%.
In the midland and mountainous areas such as Muong Lat, Quan Son, Hoi Xuan, Thiet Ong, Cam Thuy, Kim Tan, Vinh Loc, Linh Son, Ngoc Lac, Thuong Xuan, Lam Son, Nhu Xuan, Nhu Thanh, Trieu Son, the highest temperature on June 25 is forecast at 36 - 38 degrees C, with some places above 38 degrees C.
The delta and coastal areas including Yen Dinh, Ha Trung, Bim Son, Nga Son, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa, Thieu Hoa, Nong Cong, Nghi Son, Quang Chinh, Hac Thanh, Sam Son also have common temperatures of 36 - 38 degrees Celsius, with some places above 38 degrees Celsius.
The hot weather on June 25th is concentrated from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
According to the meteorological agency, from June 26th, hot weather in Thanh Hoa began to decrease. The highest temperature in the midlands, mountainous areas, plains and coastal areas is commonly from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius. The hot weather is mainly from 10 am to 4 pm.
Notably, from June 27, hot weather in Thanh Hoa is likely to end.
The level of natural disaster risk due to hot weather is warned at level 1.
The meteorological agency recommends that due to hot weather combined with low air humidity, people need to be wary of the risk of heatstroke, heat shock, dehydration, especially for the elderly, young children and outdoor workers.
People should limit going out between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM; drink enough water, supplement electrolytes, wear sun protection clothing when going out; do not work overtime in the sun.
In addition, increased electricity demand during hot sunny days may potentially pose the risk of overload and explosion of electrical equipment. Localities, units and people need to use electricity safely and economically; proactively take fire prevention and fighting measures, especially in residential areas and forest areas.
The meteorological agency notes that the forecast temperature in the bulletin and the actual perceived temperature outside can differ by 2 - 4 degrees Celsius, even higher due to the impact of buffers such as concrete and asphalt roads.
