On May 4, the traffic volume to Hanoi after the April 30 - 1.5 holiday holiday increased, vehicle operators and managers said they had proactively taken many measures to regulate traffic, ensuring safety and smoothness.
At My Dinh Bus Station (Hanoi), it was recorded that the number of passengers increased compared to normal days, especially from about 10:30 a.m. onwards. However, there was no congestion or chaos.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Hoa - Director of My Dinh Bus Station - said that the station has proactively coordinated with transport units to increase vehicles when necessary, and at the same time requested bus companies to strictly comply with regulations such as not carrying more people, not arbitrarily increasing ticket prices.
According to Mr. Vu Van Phu - the station operator, the number of passengers coming and going to the station is scattered, not concentrated at one time like in previous years. Thanks to that, public transport vehicles such as buses, taxis, and motorbike taxis operate effectively, quickly relieve passengers, and prevent congestion.

Mr. Phu also added that in recent years, the number of passengers entering the wharf has decreased significantly due to the trend of using personal vehicles and flexible transportation types such as shared vehicles, limousines, and contract vehicles that have developed strongly, making the atmosphere at the wharf more deserted than before.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Director of Giap Bat Bus Station - said that the number of passengers passing through the station on April 4 was at the same level as usual, there were no changes. Due to the long holiday, many passengers have returned to Hanoi since March 3, so there is no congestion in the terminal.
Also according to the record, the afternoon of Hanoi the cars are crowded, but the opposite direction is mostly empty cars. The representative of Thu Thang garage running in the Hanoi - Tuyen Quang route said that in the morning, the passenger reached the car to reach about 90% of the seats, but the afternoon was only about 20%.

Regarding the traffic situation on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway (the southern gateway of the Capital), talking to the Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Pham Van Khoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phap Van - Cau Gie BOT Joint Stock Company - said that since the automatic toll collection system was installed, this highway no longer has a long congestion at the toll station. In case of serious congestion, the unit will proactively discharge the station to release the vehicle and ensure smooth circulation.

"The congestion only occurs at the beginning of the Phap Van route due to high traffic density, which makes it impossible for vehicles to maintain the designed speed, but the entire route still remains stable," Mr. Khoi informed.
