For many years, the Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi wharf area and the southern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City have often been congested due to the excessive flow of vehicles, while infrastructure has not kept up with the pace of urban development. The synchronous investment in the transportation system this time is expected to remove prolonged bottlenecks and improve the connectivity between the South and the city center.

In order to clear the entire area, the project will build a new Tan Thuan 1 bridge, expand Tan Thuan 2 bridge, build Hoang Dieu underpass and a system of wharves and wharves. The bank opposite Bach Dang Wharf is also invested in parking lots and an underground commercial center, helping people easily access the riverside space.
Overcoming the infrastructure problem, the project creates a special heritage complex by connecting the Nha Rong Wharf Cultural Park with the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch. The most sacred highlight is the restoration of the original Amiral Latouche-Tréville historical ship according to the French design, saying no to simulated structures to ensure historical authenticity.

With the spirit of respecting history, the project is determined to preserve the typical architecture of the old trading port instead of removing it. Existing warehouse rows will retain their exterior appearance, while the interior space will be renovated into an exhibition, creative, commercial and community activity center. The riverside alluvial strip is also planned into a park, square and pedestrian path.

In parallel with adding green spaces and viewing floors at Bach Dang Wharf, the project will build a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River. This project directly connects Nha Rong Wharf, Khanh Hoi with Bach Dang Wharf, creating a continuous public space network between the two banks of the river.

When completed, from a messy old port area, this place will become a high-class cultural - historical - tourist space axis along the Saigon River, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and creating more strong breakthrough momentum for Ho Chi Minh City.
