As a customer who has refueled E10 bio-gasoline 3 times, Mr. Le Tien Thuc (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) said that the conversion does not significantly affect the vehicle use process. "I went to the store and defaulted to refueling E10 gasoline because I understood that this is a type of gasoline mixed with 10% bio-ethanol. In fact, many countries around the world have used E10 gasoline for a long time and people still use it normally" - Mr. Thuc shared.
According to Mr. Thuc, the use of bio-gasoline contributes to reducing emissions into the environment, so he completely supports this policy.
I see this as a positive sign. If it helps reduce emissions and protect the environment, I think people are very willing to use it" - Mr. Thuc said.
From the perspective of a business unit, Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh - Store Manager of Petrolimex Petroleum Store No. 14 - said that the store has completed preparations many days in advance to serve the conversion to bio-gasoline business.
The store is small in scale, with limited tank capacity, so it currently only sells E10 bio-gasoline. We have completed the preparation of facilities, techniques and goods sources from May 20 to be ready to serve the people" - Mr. Ngoc Anh said.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Huong - Lecturer at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical School, Hanoi University of Science and Technology - informed that E10 bio-gasoline, even E20 gasoline and below, has been researched and tested many times both in Vietnam and in the world.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Huong, in Vietnam, biofuel testing programs have been implemented for many years. Meanwhile, many countries around the world are still using fuels with ethanol contents higher than 10%.
The ethanol level in E10 gasoline is not a factor affecting the compatibility of the engine. Through many tests, the results all show that E10 gasoline is suitable for most vehicles currently in circulation" - lecturer of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Driving assessed.
Besides the environmental benefits, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Huong believes that the development of biofuel also has important significance for national energy security.
According to her, the world gasoline and oil market is frequently affected by geopolitical fluctuations and international conflicts. Every time oil supplies are affected, fuel prices globally also fluctuate, leading to many impacts on the domestic economy.
If we can be proactive in a part of the source of raw materials such as ethanol to blend biofuel, it will reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels. Ethanol is not directly affected by geopolitical fluctuations like oil, so the supply and prices are also more stable" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Huong analyzed.
