Accelerating construction every day
Immediately after starting construction (August 19), 3 large projects associated with Hon Khoai Island (Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway; the bridge from Dat Mui - Hon Khoai; Hon Khoai Bi-use Port) construction units immediately started work.

After just over 2 months, the construction unit has gathered many machines and vehicles to carry out 2 projects, the road to Hon Khoai Island and Hon Khoai Biosphere Port.
At the temporary yard, the construction volume is accelerating day by day. The Geotube pipe sand pumping work has been completed at 23,529/36,036.78m3, reaching 65.1%. Although the sand pumping at the temporary land is still in the early stages, 850/206,954m3 has been deployed. Notably, the D1200 cement pile item has been completed for testing.
In the area of the main wharf and the approach bridge, groups of workers worked day and night. The construction unit has completed casting 31/31 test piles, packing 13/13 D800 test piles and 6/18 D900 piles, ensuring the overall progress of the entire project.
The soldiers and workers at the construction site are aware that these projects have great significance for the people and the country.
Emulation to hand over the expressway site early
The project to reclaim land, compensate, support and resettle to invest in the construction of the expressway from Ca Mau to Dat Mui has a total reclaimed area of about 741 hectares, about 6 organizations and more than 1,660 affected households and individuals in the new administrative unit of 10 communes, including: Ho Thi Ky, Khanh An, Khanh Binh, Luong The Tran, Hung My, Cai Nuoc, Phu My, Nguyen Viet Khai, Dat Moi and Dat Mui.
The Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway project is about 90km long (the starting point is in the old Ca Mau city and the ending point is in the old Ngoc Hien district), with a scale of 4 lanes, and an investment process before 2030, implemented by the Ministry of National Defense, expected to be implemented in the period from 2025-2028.

In order to speed up the site clearance progress for key projects, Ca Mau province launched a peak competition to complete the handover of the site before December 15, 2025.
The signing of the emulation document has 4 key contents, including: Emulation in creative labor, completing on schedule and exceeding the set plan, ensuring site clearance handover to the construction unit to implement the project; Emulation in improving the capacity and responsibility of state agencies and units in directing, organizing implementation, mobilizing and professional stages of compensation and site clearance, ensuring progress, publicity, transparency, no loss or waste; Emulation in mobilizing the entire population to participate in site clearance, handing over the site to start construction of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, traffic roads to Hon Khoai and Hon Khoai Port, creating social consensus and taking good care of the lives of affected people; Timely, properly resolving, and according to regulations, when competent authorities issued complaints (if any).

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province - affirmed that this is an important political event of the province, demonstrating the drastic participation of the entire political system, the unanimous response of all classes of people and to strongly promote the patriotic emulation movement, determined to successfully implement the goals and tasks of socio-economic development in 2025 and the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and socio-political organizations at all levels to promote their core and pioneering role in propaganda and mobilization of union members and association members from all walks of life to clearly understand the significance and importance of the project, arouse the spirit of solidarity of the entire nation, the people, and high consensus of the people to hand over the site on schedule.
Mr. Ngoi emphasized that the Provincial People's Committee will work with departments and branches to pay more attention to the grassroots, proactively grasp the situation, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. At the same time, local authorities in communes where the project passes through must focus highly on leadership and direction to focus on mobilizing the entire political system to participate. Strengthen propaganda and mobilization work for each household to ensure the progress of compensation, support and resettlement is quick in accordance with legal regulations.
