On May 18, in Muong Xen commune, Nghe An province, the welcoming ceremony for 80 sets of remains of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed in the Lao PDR to return home took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.
Attending the ceremony, on the Lao side were Major General Mon Kham Duong Sa Van - Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Special Affairs Committee of Xay Xom Bun province; along with leaders of Vientiane and Xieng Khouang provinces.
On the side of Nghe An province were Colonel Nguyen Van An - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Command of Nghe An province; representatives of leaders of the Department of Home Affairs, Muong Xen commune, teachers, students of schools and a large number of people in the area.
80 sets of martyrs' remains were searched and exhumed by the Repatriation Team of the Military Command of Nghe An province in Laos. In the process of performing the task, the unit received the attention and support of Party committees, authorities, armed forces and people of Lao ethnic groups, especially the 3 provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane and Xay Xom Bun.
After the memorial ceremony, delegates, teachers, students and people respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the volunteer army and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed in Laos.
Welcoming the martyrs back to rest in the hearts of the motherland is an opportunity for today's generations to commemorate their merits and sacrifices; and at the same time express the deep gratitude of the people of the Ky Son ethnic groups to the heroic children of the nation.
The ceremony to receive and relocate martyrs' remains was solemnly and solemnly organized, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" and gratitude to heroic martyrs.
