On January 4, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien - Head of the Organizing Committee to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) attended the general rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony.
According to the plan, the 80th Anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam will be held on January 6, 2026 at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House.
This is a national-level anniversary ceremony, aimed at widely propagating the great historical and political significance of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam; affirming the role, position and important contributions of the National Assembly in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
This is also an event of important political significance, contributing to the entire Party, people, and army reviewing the history of formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly since the milestone of the first General Election to elect the 1st National Assembly.
At the same time, recognizing the contributions, achievements and lessons learned in the past 80 years for the cause of building, developing and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland through the revolutionary periods of the nation.
In order to ensure smooth implementation of activities at the Anniversary Ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien and delegates reviewed and checked the contents before the program took place.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly acknowledged that agencies and units have promoted the spirit of responsibility, effort, positivity, and proactiveness in carrying out preparations to serve the organization of the Anniversary in the best way and have also drawn experience on the spot and directly given directions to agencies and units on contents related to the organization, program of the Anniversary, reception, decoration and performance, and reception of delegates, ensuring security and safety.
Because the time for the Anniversary Ceremony is approaching, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien requested relevant agencies and units to continue to coordinate more closely, carefully review the preparation work for all contents, ensuring that activities within the framework of the Anniversary Ceremony take place as planned, solemnly, and successfully.
