Many key projects are behind schedule
Over the past time, many key projects in Nghe An have encountered prolonged problems, affecting the progress of implementation and people's lives.
In which, the project to renovate and expand National Highway 46 Vinh - Nam Dan section with a total investment of about 500 billion VND is under construction at many locations. The project is considered an important traffic route connecting to President Ho Chi Minh's hometown in Kim Lien commune, but many excavated sections are prolonged, dusty, flooded, causing great impact on the lives and travel of people along the route.
In Kim Lien, Dai Hue, Van An communes, many households reflect the situation of slow construction, some places dig roads and then leave them for weeks. Sunny days dust covers houses, rainy days stagnant water causes traffic unsafety and disrupts people's lives.
Besides National Highway 46, the Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant Project with a total investment of about 59 trillion VND must also adjust the implementation plan. According to the initial plan, the project would start construction on April 30, 2026, but the start time had to be postponed to May 19 due to some obstacles that need to be further removed.
Not only the above two projects, Nghe An currently has many backlog projects, violations or delays that need to be reviewed and handled thoroughly to avoid wasting investment resources and affecting the local development environment.
