On the morning of October 10, the Provincial Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity (established by Nghe An Provincial Party Committee) held a regular meeting to evaluate the results of the third quarter and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter. Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung - Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the meeting.
In the third quarter of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in Nghe An will continue to be directed strongly, closely following practical requirements. The Provincial Steering Committee has thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the conclusions and instructions of the General Secretary - Head of the Central Steering Committee, ensuring that they are suitable for the local situation.
The authorities are required to review and handle projects that are behind schedule, have long backlogs, and are ineffective, causing loss and waste; inspect the management and use of public assets and real estate in the process of arranging administrative organizations and units. At the same time, direct the adjustment and re-implementation of projects and headquarters affected by the arrangement of administrative units, ensuring efficiency and savings.
The Provincial Steering Committee directs prosecution agencies to focus on investigating and strictly handling corruption, waste and negativity cases and incidents that attract public attention; strengthening the recovery of lost assets, thoroughly overcoming the consequences of the incidents.
Power control and violation prevention in sensitive areas and areas prone to negativity are also required to be tightened. Timely detection and handling of violations is identified as a key to strengthen people's trust in corruption prevention and control.
For the fourth quarter of 2025, the Provincial Steering Committee requires continuing to closely follow the work program and regulations, effectively implementing the directives and resolutions of the Central Committee and the Central Steering Committee on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
Notably, the Provincial Steering Committee emphasized the task of building a culture of integrity, promoting the spirit of exemplary, no corruption, no negativity among cadres, party members and people.
At the same time, it is required to promote the supervisory and critical role of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, press agencies and people in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity - contributing to building a clean and strong apparatus.
