On November 17, the Command Committee for Defense of Area 2 (CHPTKV Board 2) in coordination with local police forces successfully rescued 2 people in Phuoc Chanh commune, Da Nang city isolated in the floodwaters.
Previously, heavy rain lasting for two days, November 16 and 17, caused serious landslides in KVPT2. Many areas such as Hung Son, Phuoc Chanh, and La Ai were partially isolated. In Phuoc Chanh commune, the water suddenly rose, causing 2 people from the fields to not be able to return, trapped in the middle of the water.

As soon as the news was received, implementing the direct direction "at all costs must save the people" of the Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, CHPTKV 2 quickly deployed a rescue plan.
However, due to the dark night and strong water flows, the authorities were forced to stay in touch and encourage people to stay, waiting for safe opportunities.
By the morning of November 17, in the face of continued rising water levels threatening people's lives, the CHPTKV 2 Board had proactively coordinated with local authorities and commune police, using specialized vehicles such as wire cutting machines, excavators and motorboats to approach the scene.
After many efforts, the two people were brought to shore with absolute safety. Currently, the victims have been taken to the health station for health check-ups and initial care.
