Holidays, passenger transport fares to the Northwest provinces do not increase sharply

Through surveys, most bus companies operating the Hanoi route to Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau provinces... maintain stable bus ticket prices for people, workers, and students to return to their hometowns for holidays.

Mr. Le Dinh Dung - owner of Le Dung passenger car company with 19 vehicles running the Dien Bien - Hanoi route - informed that the unit is listing a ticket price of 680,000 VND/trip.

During the holidays, people do not travel much, there is an increase but not a sudden increase, people travel by private cars a lot. Passengers are mainly officials, students and some individual passengers, rarely passing by.

The unit will maintain the same ticket prices as on normal days so that passengers can rest assured to return to their hometown for holidays" - Mr. Dung said.

Similarly, Mr. Pham Van Tuan - Director of Ngan Ha bus company - said that the unit currently has about 20 vehicles running the Lai Chau - Sa Pa - Lao Cai - My Dinh route.

According to Mr. Tuan, this holiday is simply not expected to have too high expectations for the number of customers to increase.

People have a need to go out, visit relatives, and travel during holidays, but mainly travel by personal vehicles or using contract cars and through travel companies, rarely taking passenger cars" - Mr. Tuan said.

Mr. Giang, a driver of Hai Dinh bus company running the Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa route - said that in recent years, on holidays and Tet, units still increase trips to meet travel demand. However, many trips fall into a situation of few passengers, not reaching capacity.

According to Mr. Giang's assessment, the number of passengers during this year's holiday may increase, but not significantly. However, the unit still proactively increases vehicles to ensure that people have vehicles to move, without having to wait.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen Kien Trung - Director of Hoa Binh Transport Service Co., Ltd. Branch - said that the ticket price for the Hanoi - Hoa Binh route is currently still maintained at 70,000 VND/trip.
