Quang Binh - According to Mr. Luyt, his father was sitting down to eat when suddenly a group of people attacked him, leading to his hospitalization.

On the morning of October 13, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Luyt (32 years old, residing in Thuong Bac village, Ngu Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province) said that he had just sent a complaint to the authorities about the act of intentionally causing injury and disturbing public order.

According to Mr. Luyt's petition, on the evening of October 10, his parents, Mr. Ngo Van Lu (55 years old) and Mrs. Ngo Thi Mai (54 years old), were having dinner. At that time, a group of about 8 strangers in 2 cars suddenly broke into his house and assaulted his father.

These people beat his father to the point of unconsciousness on the spot, his mother promptly ran out to the yard to call for help.

“At that time, those people grabbed my father’s legs and dragged him to the front porch and continued to beat him. When they saw the neighbors running over, they stopped and then left the scene in their car. When they left, the police force of Ngu Thuy commune was present at my family’s house to record the incident,” the petition stated.

Mr. Luyt added that his father is currently being treated at Hue Central Hospital, in a state of intermittent consciousness and with injuries all over his body.

According to Mr. Luyt, the reason could be that on October 9 and 10, the Farmers' Association of Ngu Thuy commune organized a volleyball tournament. Due to poor organization, the teams complained to the Organizing Committee and withdrew from the tournament.

That's why Luyet's father wrote a poem about this volleyball tournament and posted it on Facebook. It's possible that from here, the above people came to Luyet's house to assault his father.

On October 13, Le Thuy District Police said they had received Mr. Luyt's complaint and were investigating the cause of the incident.
