On November 20, the grassroots trade union of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference for the 2025-2030 term with the participation and direction of Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Chuong Phat and all union members of the agency.
During the 2023 - 2028 term, the grassroots Trade Union has closely coordinated with the head of the agency to organize conferences for cadres and civil servants; creating conditions for union members to contribute ideas to the rules and regulations and fully grasp the financial situation. The People's Inspectorate promotes its supervisory role, ensuring compliance with regulations.
The unit has done a good job of caring for union members, participating in regular salary increases for 41 union members, raising seniority allowances; considering early salary increases for 14 cases.
Visiting and support activities during illnesses, holidays, and natural disasters are maintained regularly, along with birthday activities, exchanges, culture, and sports with a total budget of hundreds of millions of VND per year. The work of promoting education, rewarding children of union members and giving gifts to children is focused on with a total cost of nearly 250 million VND.
The "Support Fund" activity supports union members with interest-free loans of 225 million VND, after being fully financed in September 2025, the fund currently has 57 million VND. In parallel, the emulation movement recorded 28 grassroots initiatives and 1 provincial-level initiative.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman Nguyen Chuong Phat acknowledged the efforts of the grassroots Trade Union and suggested that the Executive Committee of the new term continue to innovate, focusing on the grassroots, protecting the rights of union members in the spirit of "3 approach", "3 must", "4 no".
Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat emphasized the need to increase dialogue, listen to workers; promote digital transformation, build a model of "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member"; focus on training union officials who are brave, law- saving and have skills to mobilize the masses.
Delegates discussed many solutions to improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities, improve the working environment, innovate methods of caring for union members and promote initiatives and digital transformation in each department.
The conference agreed on the list of Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including 5 people; Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Thuy to hold the position of Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union and elected delegates to attend the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress.
With the spirit of solidarity and innovation, the grassroots Trade Union is determined to build a strong organization, accompanying workers and contributing to the completion of the agency's political tasks.
