These days, in coastal communes of Ninh Binh province, the atmosphere becomes bustling, village roads and alleys are decorated more than usual.
Recorded by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at some polling stations in communes that were well prepared, decorated and ensured security and order. In particular, for fishermen who regularly stick to the sea for many days, local authorities have proactively propagated and mobilized people to arrange time to participate in the election fully.
Mr. Dao Duy Thien (Giao Phuc commune, Ninh Binh province) said: "Although the work of going to sea is quite busy, in the near future I will arrange time, postpone the sea trip to go vote. We are fishermen, sometimes we go offshore for a few days before returning, so when there is an opportunity to vote, everyone tries to prepare to participate. For us fishermen, each ballot is important, showing the people's trust and expectations.

Also arranging work early to be ready to go to the election, Mr. Do Van Tuan (Giao Ninh commune, Ninh Binh province) said: "Going to the election is the right and responsibility of each citizen. On this occasion, in addition to preparing for a new fishing trip, I also spent time learning about the list of candidates. We want to select deputies with heart and vision to represent the voice of the people, including us fishermen".
As someone who directly participated in mobilizing fishermen to vote, Mr. Do Van Ke - Standing Vice Chairman of Giao Hai Fisheries Trade Union, Giao Phuc commune, said that from before Tet, the trade union had widely propagated and announced on many media outlets, especially in the Zalo group, so that members could grasp the voting time in a timely manner. At the same time, they mobilized ship owners and captains to proactively arrange appropriate offshore schedules. Therefore, most fishermen have grasped the information and have plans to participate in voting in accordance with regulations.

In addition, if fishermen have not returned to sea in time, Voting area No. 7, Giao Phuc commune has also prepared mobile ballot boxes, ready to operate when needed," Mr. Ke informed.
