Nam Yen village (Hai Van ward, Da Nang city, formerly in Hoa Bac commune) was submerged in water.
Recorded in Nam Yen village on October 27, many areas were flooded nearly 1m deep, some places had water flooding into their homes, people had to row boats to move through the muddy water.

According to local residents, from late on October 26, the water began to rise rapidly, and heavy rain did not stop. Part of Nam Yen village is now isolated and traffic is cut off. The road to the residential area is only reached by boat or small boat.
People said that thanks to early warnings about heavy rain, households in the village have proactively raised their belongings, moved their livestock and stockpiled food in advance.

Mr. Bui Thanh, who lives in a low-lying area, had to move his family's cattle to a high ground early to take shelter.
"From the night of October 26, the water rose very quickly. My family just heard the forecast of heavy rain, so they moved their belongings and put in a closet. My herd of cows was taken to a high ground to avoid flooding, while I rowed a boat in and out every day, taking care of and feeding them, waiting for the water to recede to feel secure," said Mr. Thanh.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Dung - Chairman of Hai Van Ward People's Committee said that the ward has proactively implemented measures to respond to flooding in Nam Yen village.
Since yesterday afternoon, we have erected barriers at deeply flooded areas, while supporting people to raise their belongings, move assets and livestock, and ensure the safety of the people, said Mr. Dung.
According to the Central Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the current situation of rain or water level or high tide, sea water rising in the area in the past 6 hours (from 5am to 11am on October 27), Da Nang city has had heavy to very heavy rain.
Total rainfall is generally 50-100mm, some places are higher such as Nong Son 258mm, Hiep Duc 247mm, Thanh My 148mm... Currently, the water level on the rivers is rising rapidly, on the Vu Gia River, Thu Bon River, the water level is above alert level 3, the Han River is above alert level 1.
In the next 24 hours, there is a risk of widespread deep flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flooding in urban areas. The common flooding depth is from 0.2-2.0m; some places are higher.
