Having lost sleep all night yesterday, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duong (Duy Nghia commune) was worried as the embankment continued to erode, digging deep into people's houses. Although the authorities stayed up all night on duty, some sections of the embankment could not withstand the floodwaters on the Thu Bon River, and were seriously broken.

To support the authorities, Ms. Duong and some households took turns buying food to support the authorities on duty. Many households that have lived near the embankment since last night have also had to rent trucks to move and move all their household items to a safe place.
"The embankment has been seriously eroded in recent days, we have lost sleep and appetite because we are worried about losing our houses and land, afraid that the flood will sweep everything away. Today, my family also cleaned up all our belongings to move to a safe place when the embankment in front of our house had been dug up deeply" - Ms. Duong said.

Witnessing the embankment continuously sinking, Mr. Lam Van Quang (Duy Nghia commune) was also scared when many houses located near the embankment were rushing in the floodwaters. Mr. Quang said that many coastal houses are now empty of furniture because everyone is worried about the subsidence of the embankment day and night.
Mr. Quang also hopes that the authorities will quickly have a long-term support and rescue plan for people to stabilize their lives.

Information from the People's Committee of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang) on October 29, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain combined with rising river water in recent days, many serious landslides appeared on the An Luong fishing wharf embankment south of Cua Dai bridge, causing a risk to the safety of the river traffic route and neighboring households.

Duy Nghia Commune People's Committee has mobilized the combat forces of Division 315, Police, militia and local people to urgently gather vehicles and materials, package hundreds of sandbags, embankments, and temporarily reinforce landslides to limit damage from spreading, ensuring security for people in the area.
