The project to build the new Phong Chau bridge - National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province has a total investment of more than 635 billion VND, and will be implemented from the end of 2024 according to the Emergency Construction Order.
The project is invested by the Thang Long Project Management Board (under the Ministry of Construction), the construction unit is Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation.

For about the past 10 months, the contractor has organized "3 shifts, 4 teams", not taking a day and night off, holidays to ensure urgent progress, the project items are always completed earlier than planned.
On August 27, the new Phong Chau bridge was officially closed, and has now entered the final stages before officially opening to traffic and putting it into use.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in mid-September, engineers and workers of Truong Son Construction Corporation are paving the bridge deck, painting lines, completing the drainage system, expansion joints, etc.
The new Phong Chau bridge is standing on the Red River, helping to connect Van Xuan commune and Phung Nguyen commune, Phu Tho province, the closer it gets to the opening time, the more people look forward to it.

Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Thu is from Thai Hoa commune, old Ba Vi district (now Vat Lai commune, Hanoi) but got married in Xuan Lung commune, Phu Tho province (old Xuan Huy commune). Since Phong Chau bridge collapsed, every time she and her family returned to her hometown, they had to go a long way, more than anyone else, Ms. Thu hoped that the bridge would be opened to traffic every day.
"I often come here to see the construction team of the new Phong Chau bridge, it can be said that counting the days I travel on this bridge is very important for me as well as many people in Phu Tho province" - Ms. Thu confided.

Mr. Bui Quang Bich - a resident of Tam Nong commune (old Huong Non commune) - shared: "My house is near Phong Chau pontoon bridge, although it is difficult to travel, I still often go up to see the new bridge. We really appreciate the efforts of the soldiers, they work day and night, not counting holidays, but in terms of quality, our people are completely assured".
According to the plan, on September 27, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of National Defense will hold an inauguration ceremony for the new Phong Chau bridge - exactly 1 month after the bridge was officially closed, meeting the expectations of tens of thousands of people in Phu Tho province.
