At about 6 pm on July 25, a beer shop on Vu Duc Uy street (Thanh Liet ward, Hanoi) suddenly caught fire fiercely. In just a short time, the fire quickly engulfed the shop area, forming a giant black smoke column rising tens of meters high, which can be observed from a considerable distance.
Many people said that at the time of the incident, the scene continuously emitted loud explosions, causing many people to be startled and run out to monitor the developments.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting plans, prevent fire from spreading and organize rescue.

According to records, Vu Duc Uy street has a relatively wide road surface, creating conditions for fire trucks to quickly access the scene. This is also a factor that helps firefighting work take place more conveniently than areas deep in small alleys.
Monitoring the entire diễn biến of the fire, Mr. Le Van Huu (27 years old), living near the scene, said that what worries him the most is the risk of fire occurring in residential areas with narrow access roads.
When I saw the column of smoke rising high and heard many explosions, I was very worried. If a fire occurs in small alleys, fire trucks will be very difficult to approach, and controlling the fire will also take longer. Fortunately, this fire occurred in an area with a large road, so the fire fighting force could quickly arrive. The people here are mainly laborers, going to work during the day, so if a fire unfortunately occurs when there are few people, the consequences may be even more serious," Mr. Huu shared.

With the same feeling, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that when she discovered a column of black smoke rising, many people in the area were worried that the fire could spread to neighboring buildings. However, she was also somewhat reassured when the fire did not directly affect the surrounding residential area.
The smoke column was very high, so everyone could see it. Initially, I was quite worried because I was afraid that the fire would spread to neighboring houses, but fortunately, the fire fighting force was present in time. Near this area is an apartment building, so taking water to serve firefighting is also more convenient. If only relying on the water source of households, it would certainly not be enough to handle such a large fire," Ms. Ha said.
Witnessing the property in the beer shop being burned down by the fire, Ms. Ha could not hide her heartache for her neighbors.
This big fire is almost completely lost. Looking at the scene of property being burned down, I feel very heartbroken. I just hope there are no casualties," she expressed.

Many people said that the fire is also a warning about the need to raise fire prevention and fighting awareness, especially at food businesses, where many electrical appliances, gas stoves and flammable materials are often used. Besides equipping full on-site fire fighting equipment, people also want business establishments to regularly check electrical systems, heat sources and escape routes to minimize the risk of unfortunate incidents.
By the evening of the same day, functional forces continued to handle the scene and investigate the cause of the fire. There is currently no official information about casualties and property damage.
