On the evening of July 25, Lam Dong province held the inauguration of Gia Nghia Central Square and the Complex of Museums, Libraries, and Parks in Bac Gia Nghia ward - a key cultural and urban project in the western region of the province.

Attending the ceremony were General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense; leaders of central ministries and sectors and some localities.
On the side of Lam Dong province were Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with provincial leaders and thousands of local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that the completion and commissioning of two projects marks a new step in urban infrastructure development.
Thereby, contributing to completing the system of cultural institutions, creating community living space and improving the spiritual life of the people.

According to Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Gia Nghia Central Square and the Museum - Library - Park Complex have a total area of more than 24.1ha, invested nearly 525 billion VND from the state budget.

In which, Gia Nghia Central Square is 19.26ha wide, with an investment capital of 400 billion VND, is one of the four squares in the country with landscape space associated with a lake; and is also among the 10 largest squares in Vietnam. This is also the largest square in the Central Highlands and South Central Coast region.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the two projects not only create architectural highlights, complete urban infrastructure but also open up space to organize large-scale political, cultural and artistic events; contributing to promoting the local image, attracting investment, developing trade, services and tourism.

Provincial leaders also affirmed that this is a testament to the concern of the Party, State and Government for the development of Lam Dong; and at the same time acknowledged the consensus of the people in site clearance work, contributing to bringing the project to completion on schedule.

Within the framework of the inauguration ceremony, the art program with the theme "Gratitude - Villages open festivals - Lam Dong aspiration and development" recreated the cultural identity of the Central Highlands and the aspiration to rise up of the locality.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province commended collectives, individuals, and families who made many contributions in the process of building Gia Nghia Central Square and the Museum, Library, and Park Complex; and presented gifts to policy families in difficult circumstances in the area.
