According to the reporter's records at more than 9:00 p.m. the same day, Mr. N.T.D (born in 1962) was riding a bicycle on Lac Long Quan Street and was taken to the checkpoint by the traffic police.
Mr. D was discovered by the working group to have an alcohol concentration of 0.7 mg/liter of breath and fined 500,000 VND.
"I went drinking and was afraid that the motorbike driver would violate the law, so I used a bicycle. I did not expect to be checked by the traffic police for alcohol concentration when riding a bicycle," said Mr. D.
In another case, Mr. H.V.C. (born in 1971) took a taxi home on Lo Sieu Street (District 11) after a family anniversary to ensure safety and avoid violating traffic safety.
However, when he got home from drinking out, he rode a motorbike to a grocery store more than 500 meters from his house to buy. When he returned home from driving, he was checked by the officers of the Traffic Police - Order Team of District 11 Police and discovered an alcohol concentration of 0.438 mg/liter of breath. Mr. C. was fined 9 million VND by the traffic police and had his driver's license revoked for 23 months.
About 20 minutes later, Mr. N.H.H. (born in 1983) driving a motorbike carrying a friend near Hoa Binh roundabout (District 11) was also stopped by the working group for inspection and discovered to have an alcohol concentration of 0.11 mg/liter of breath.
Mr. H. said that while he was at home at night, he suddenly received a phone call from a colleague, saying he was drunk, and asked the motorbike driver to take him home to help. When arriving, Mr. H. was invited by an acquaintance of a colleague to drink a can of beer.
On the way, he was checked by the traffic police. "I work as a construction worker. Colleagues often introduce the project to me. Now that my colleagues have asked me to run over and take him from District 11 to his house in Tan Phu District. I drank a can so the alcohol concentration was low, said Mr. H. and signed a record with a fine of 2.5 million VND.
During the night, a number of other drivers who violated alcohol concentration were also fined by the Traffic Police - Order Team of District 11 Police.
