Traffic awareness of people increased
According to Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter on January 7, on major roads such as Tran Hung Dao and Ly Thuong Kiet (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province), vehicles all stop at the designated line when the light is red and only move when the green light is on.
Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhi (28 years old, living in Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province) shared that she is increasingly cautious when participating in traffic on the roads in the city. After the authorities increased the level of penalties for violations related to traffic lights, this has had a strong impact on the awareness of traffic law compliance of her and many other people.
Ms. Nhi said that in the past, when the green traffic light had only 1 to 2 seconds left, she often tried to quickly cross to save time. However, she has now changed this habit. Now, even when the green light has 1 to 2 seconds left, she still proactively stops and waits for a new traffic signal to ensure safety.
"Not only because I'm afraid of being fined, but also because I understand that stopping in time helps avoid unexpected situations and protects the safety of myself and others," Nhi shared.
According to her, the increased fines not only serve as a deterrent but also have a positive effect in raising awareness among traffic participants.
After the regulation was applied, Ms. Nhi recognized that the streets of Dong Hoi City became more orderly, and traffic violations or driving in the wrong lane decreased significantly.
Increased control
On the same day, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh province said that there has been a positive change in the awareness of traffic law compliance of local people since Decree 168 was applied.
The Traffic Police Department informed that after Decree 168 was applied, during patrols and inspections on key routes, no cases of traffic light violations have been detected so far. This shows that people have raised their awareness and strictly followed traffic regulations.
In addition, the form of fines is still being checked and reviewed through the camera surveillance system to ensure that no violations are missed.
In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will deploy more working groups to increase inspection and supervision on the roads, in order to maintain traffic order and improve law enforcement effectiveness.
The Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh province stated that when Decree 168 came into effect, the increase in penalties for traffic light violations had created a positive effect in the community. Not only on the roads in the center of Dong Hoi City but also in rural areas, people have become more aware of obeying traffic laws.
Many patrol teams will be deployed on major roads and key intersections to ensure that no violations occur. At the same time, the surveillance camera system will continue to be used to detect and handle cases of fines, avoiding the situation of "coping" when there is no functional force.
To maintain and promote effectiveness, the Traffic Police Department is implementing a plan to control more strictly throughout the area. Many patrol teams will be deployed on major roads and key intersections to ensure that no violations occur. At the same time, the surveillance camera system will continue to be used to detect and handle cases of fines, avoiding the situation of "coping" when there is no functional force.
